Working in small or enclosed spaces can lead to risky situations; the use of power tools increases the risk of explosions. The ATEX course outlines the main procedures you must follow to avoid these risks. The directive lays out the minimum requirements that workplaces and work equipment must comply with, so that employees can work safely.
The ATEX course is meant for anyone who carries out work in potentially explosive areas, this includes operators, production employees, cleaning and supporting office staff.

ATEX Awareness
In the ATEX Awareness online training course participants are made aware of the basic principles of explosions, how an explosion environment is created, how careful you have to be, and what safety measures you need to take. Gas, mist and dust explosions are discussed in particular. ATEX 114 and ATEX 153 are the new guidelines that have been included since 2016.
The ATEX 153 guideline is included in the ARBO legislation. The ATEX 114 directive applies to manufacturers of safety systems and devices that are used in places where there is a risk of explosion. The purpose of these guidelines is to ensure the safety and health of workers in potentially explosive areas. The ATEX directive specifies minimum requirements that workplaces and work equipment must comply with, so that employees can work safely in those places.
