Rigger Stage 4

The goal is to provide participants who need to secure and supervise specific loads on construction projects at petrochemical and mining installations with sufficient knowledge and skills to work responsibly and safely, using hoists and other specific lifting equipment. This includes raising awareness of the risks associated with any type of securing and moving loads as a rigger on an offshore mining installation.

Creating safety awareness by understanding the risks and those of others when moving specific loads. The ability to execute and revise lifting plans and safely adapt to unusual situations while observing safety regulations and construction options.

What will you learn during the training?

The course combines theory and practice. You will learn:
• safety lifting equipment
• maintenance and inspection
• chains and chain assemblies
• steel wire ropes and steel wire rope assemblies
• fabric slings and fiber ropes
• special lifting equipment
• attaching loads
• procedures
• chain hoist and lever pullers

What do you get afterwards?

The course concludes with a practical and theoretical exam. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate.

  • To participate in this course, you must have one of the following certificates: 
    • Banksman offshore 1.9 NOGEPA
    • BLVA (Safe Attachment of Construction Loads)
    • TCVT W4-01, W4-02, W4-03, W4-04, WA-05
    • Crane Operator Offshore Stage 3 or 1.2 NOGEPA
