TCVT Hoist Supervisor W4-08

TCVT Hoist Supervisor W4-08

Certified riggers/hoist supervisors are being used on a growing number of construction sites and during lifting operations to better guide operators and hookers during lifting tasks. These certified riggers/hoist supervisors assist with positioning the crane, moving the load, and advising others on the construction site. Do you work on an offshore mining installation? There are specific requirements for this. Read here more about.

This course covers all these aspects. Participants will gain knowledge and skills related to safely and responsibly attaching loads, using the correct tools, and assessing risks. Often, half a day is devoted to theory and half a day to practice at our training ground. During the course, we work towards the theoretical and practical exams, in accordance with the final and test criteria of the TCVT certification scheme.

On the last day, an external examination agency will be used to administer the theory and practical exams.
Good to know: this course is eligible for applying for a SOOB subsidy.

Additional information

  • This course requires good reading skills to prepare for home study. Sufficient practical experience with lifting tasks as a rigger/rigger/guide is also required.
  • This training is intended for anyone who supervises lifting operations. Whether on a construction site, in a (petro)chemical industry, or other work locations where the lifting task is somewhat more complex or requires additional support from a supervisor. For standard lifting operations on a construction site, a multi-day training course would be appropriate.Attachment Construction W4-09” may also fit, but this gives you as a student fewer options at other locations where lifting work takes place.
  • If there are enough participants, the course will take place at the Bouw & Infra Park in Harderwijk. Due to the practical component of this course, the groups are small and therefore fill up quickly.
  • The certificate obtained is issued by TCVT. The registration fee of €195 (excluding VAT) is paid by the TCVT participant. Neither we nor the independent examination board have any involvement in this matter.
  • The certificate is valid for 5 years, with renewals based on demonstrable practical experience and the mandatory recertification course, namely the 1st training day in the first 3 years and the 2nd training day in the last 2 years.
