Terminal tractor drivers are deployed to load and unload ships and railcars. They drive and maneuver the terminal tractor and transport cargo (goods and containers) to and from the terminal or transshipment location. Terminal tractor drivers, also known as sea container drivers, are well-versed in the order in which containers are moved and how to safely and undamaged load containers into a stack, ship, or railcar. Terminal tractor drivers are held to high standards to work safely and responsibly. Therefore, it is important that terminal tractor drivers comply with the latest safety requirements and have received proper training and instruction, in accordance with occupational health and safety legislation.
This training is offered exclusively on-site. We provide the trainer, course materials, and certificates. We use the specific equipment and work on-site (in-company training).
The course combines theory and practice. You will learn about:
• Occupational health and safety legislation

• Preliminary and final inspection
• Operation Coupling and uncoupling
• Loading, unloading and moving
• Stability
• Maintenance and malfunctions
• Emergency procedures
• Company rules
Upon successful completion of the practical assessment, you will receive a certificate.
• The certificate is valid for 5 years.
• This course can also be combined with the working safely with the reach stacker and / or container forklift.
