The most advanced mechanical paving machines were on display at the SOMA Business Training Living Lab in Harderwijk. Companies such as Kroezen Infra, Impreza Paving, Infrastructure Note, Van de Bunt en HD Infrastructure Technology provided demonstrations and instructions on the use of clamps, vacuum systems and even fully automatic paving robots.
Why knowledge is essential
With over 24% of the Netherlands paved, the use of machinery has become an indispensable part of everyday practice. These machines are becoming increasingly sophisticated, requiring specific knowledge and skills for safe and efficient use. That's why SOMA Bedrijfsopleidingen regularly offers training courses for both machine operators and supervisors.
Instructions for supervisors
During yesterday's session, dozens of supervisors received instructional training to better monitor the safe and correct use of paving machines. This knowledge not only helps improve workplace safety and the quality of paving work, but also contributes to the health of the workers.
In addition to standard training courses, customized solutions are a specialty of SOMA Bedrijfsopleidingen. "Whether it's an existing course or a specific development program, we always provide the right training," says Ellen Maaijen, head of the Educational Development department. Training courses take place at the Living Lab in Harderwijk or in-house at the client's own location, often using their own equipment.
