As of September 4, 2017, all exams and requirements for VOL-VCA and Basic VCA will change. SOMA wants to provide you with more information about this through this news item.
The most important changes
Training
The course content remains approximately 80% the same. What has changed is a greater focus on working safely and managing safe working practices. This is reflected in the exam questions: there are not only more multiple-choice questions but also completely different types of questions. The content of all VCA course packages is now divided into four sections, along with additional tests and information.
If you take a course, e-learning, or book and exam with SOMA Bedrijfsopleidingen, you'll have access to one comprehensive practice exam. The advantage of this practice exam is that you can immediately familiarize yourself with the exam and optimally prepare for the questions as they appear on the actual exam.
SOMA regularly offers 3 course options:
– E-learning VCA basic and FULL VCA
– 1 day classroom and 2 days classroom
– Book and exam for self-study
The exam
The exams have now been changed to application and knowledge questions. In the application questions, candidates are presented with different types of questions:
• Multiple choice question (give the correct answer)
• Multiple correct answers question (a score follows for each correct answer)
• Matrix question with three or four statements and a choice of the correct answer for the statement
• Ranking question where the answers must be put in order
• Matching question in which 3 or 4 concepts must be linked to the correct concept
The questions have also changed considerably and provide much more food for thought during the exam.
From September 4, only digital exams may be taken.
