To ensure safety on projects involving contaminated soil, it's crucial that employees have the right certifications and competencies. Since the law changed on January 1, 2019, clients must ensure that the right expert is present on every project.

As of January 1, 2019, an employee with the certificate must be present for heavier remediation work R-DLP (Registered Project Management Expert) are present. The use of R-DLP is mandatory according to the directive for higher safety classes (red volatile, black non-volatile and black volatile). The regular DLP remain in place. For more intensive remediation work, the R-DLP is deployed. In addition to the regular DLP, the R-DLP is required to be able to perform reliable soil moisture and air quality measurements. The tasks and responsibilities of the R-DLP are significantly more demanding than those of the DLP.
