To ensure safety on construction sites, several leading construction companies and clients (construction, road/water/rail infrastructure, and installation technology) have established the Governance Code for Safety in Construction. One of these safety initiatives is the Generic Gate Instruction (GPI).
Why a GPI?
Gate instructions are instructions that every employee/person entering a construction site must have followed beforehand and must have successfully completed the test. This GPI aims to ensure safety and provide greater clarity for employees/persons. The GPI is the same for all companies and construction sites affiliated with the Governance Code. However, additional, specific requirements can be imposed on each construction site.
Three GPIs
There are three different GPIs available: GPI Infra, PGI B&U, and GPI Installation. To obtain the GPI, you must complete several modules and pass tests. You can take the GPI from any workplace and it is valid for one year. Click here for more information about the GPI and to take the modules and test.
