Last week has
Van Wylick Road surface reflectors were skillfully milled into the asphalt. It was a beautiful sunny day for working outside, but that's certainly not a requirement, as the reflectors can be installed in almost any weather conditions (except frost).
The process of installing these reflectors is fascinating to watch. A specialized machine mills a hole at the designated location. The glass ball reflector is then positioned and carefully bonded, ensuring it's firmly secured to the road surface and neatly finished. These glass ball reflectors are virtually indestructible because they're embedded in the road surface, and they're suitable for all types of stone, including our innovative Lynpave 95® asphalt.
This addition to our site is also an example of a sustainable solution. The glass globe reflectors can, in practice, lead to savings on public lighting, as they can be dimmed or even switched off.
We're proud to see how our Living Lab site is developing thanks to collaboration between various parties. This project is a prime example of how innovation and collaboration go hand in hand to contribute to a more sustainable infrastructure.
Thanks to Van Wylick and all parties involved for their commitment and craftsmanship!
