Why you are not allowed to work in contaminated soil
When working in or with contaminated soil, (ground)water, or dredging operations, project managers must have sufficient knowledge of safety, health, and occupational hygiene. This is stated in the Occupational Health and Safety Information Sheet and CROW publication 132 (working in and with contaminated soil). This knowledge can be acquired by taking the DLP (Expert Project Management) course and through extensive work experience.
If you work as a KVP (Contamination of Contamination and Pollution) officer, you must also hold a DLP certificate. You need this to be allowed to work with contaminated soil.
