Subsidy scheme for retraining personnel opened

Goal

The goal of the Retraining Scheme is to financially support all employers in offering retraining programs to (new) employees. This allows (new) employees from other professions to be trained for promising careers in construction and infrastructure. For the employees themselves, retraining for promising professions offers a sustainable perspective on the job market.

Terms & conditions

When applying for the subsidy scheme, the following conditions, among others, must be met:

• You retrain an existing or new employee for a promising professional group.
• The training must have started on or after July 1, 2022, and no later than within 3 months of submitting the application.
• The retraining program is aimed at providing the employee with competencies, knowledge and experience that match the position in question.
• The cost of the retraining program is at least €7.500.
• The training meets one of the quality marks of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, NRTO, a sector or industry.
• The retraining programme leads to an employment contract between employer and employee with a profession in the promising sectors.
• No subsidy has been received from the government for the retraining program in question Practical Training subsidy scheme or for SLIM scheme.
