Safely slinging loads with a hall and gantry crane

Successful course! "Safely Attaching Loads with a Hall and Gantry Crane." In December 17 and January 18, the IJB Group in Lemmer organized an in-company course "Safely Attaching Loads with a Hall and Gantry Crane" for approximately 100 employees from the IJB Piles and IJB Foundations production facilities, in collaboration with instructor Willem de Boer of SOMA Business Training.

This in-house, customized course consisted of a half-day of theory and a half-day of practice. Among other things, the course made employees aware of the risks involved in slinging loads, increased their safety awareness, and prevented additional maintenance and damage to the cranes. Employees with both limited and extensive experience found the course very informative and were enthusiastic and positive.

During the practical component, the six mentors trained by IJB and SOMA Bedrijfsopleidingen, in collaboration with Willem de Boer, played a key role. The mentors gave the employees practical assignments, such as operating the crane, picking up loads, removing the crank from the load, and inspecting the crane. The training was successfully completed thanks in part to the pleasant collaboration with Willem de Boer, a highly skilled and professional instructor, and, importantly, a pleasant personality! Willem himself was also enthusiastic about the entire process and the excellent collaboration with the mentors: "It was a good team, the mentors knew what to do with the practical assignments, and everything went smoothly."

In short, a successful training course!
