What you will do as a Vertical Transport Instructor
You'll train (future) colleagues: from novice operators to experienced crane operators. You'll translate practical situations into training where safety is paramount. This isn't done from a dusty textbook, but outside on our premises.
Your role shifts from executing to guiding. From doing it yourself to helping others improve. This requires explanation, overview, and patience, but it also yields a reward: influence on how the profession is taught.
Why professionals take this step
Many instructors at SOMA come from the construction industry. They were looking for a way to continue working with machinery, but wanted to avoid the unpredictable days and physical strain. With us, you'll find that stability without losing your pride in the profession. You'll no longer be responsible for just one crane, but for the quality and safety of the entire sector.
This is how it is arranged at SOMA
The work is varied, with plenty of room for individual input, good facilities and a professional training area where realistic situations can be safely trained.
This suits you if you
We also invite earthmoving machine operators, practical supervisors or instructors with a strong technical affinity to apply.
Still a proud employee in vertical transport
Pride remains. It just changes form. As a vertical transport instructor, you're no longer just proud of "your crane," but proud of the profession as a whole. You're proud of the fact that you train people who, thanks to your knowledge, work more safely, make better decisions, and take responsibility in a sector where mistakes have consequences.
You'll stay close to machinery, lifting equipment, and safety, but your influence will grow. You'll help build a safer sector and pass on the trade to people who will soon have to rely on it every day.
About SOMA
At SOMA, you'll work in a down-to-earth, direct team where craftsmanship is paramount and everything is simply well-organized. No hassle, just responsibility and trust.
