Measuring and Laying Out II

Measuring and staking out are used for all conceivable infrastructure projects. For example, the construction of a tunnel or highway requires precise measurements. This ranges from working with a tape measure and level to measuring with modern laser equipment. In this course, participants will gain knowledge of advanced measuring and staking.

What will you learn during the training?

The course combines theory (4 days) and practice (1 day). You will learn:

  • digital length measurement
  • measuring lengths at terrain obstacles
  • measuring and setting out angles
  • setting out arches
  • continuous leveling
  • fill in a level sheet
  • measure profile
  • terrain leveling
  • determine subsidence and settlement
  • measuring terrain
  • calculate and set out quantities
  • geometry and arithmetic.

What do you get afterwards?

At the end of the course, an exam is administered. Upon successful completion, the student will receive a certificate.

Additional information

  • If you want to participate in this course you need mathematical knowledge of sin/cos/tan and the certificate Measuring and Laying Out I or a diploma from a (minimum MBO) civil engineering course.
