Expert Project Management (DLP)

Expert Project Management (DLP)

Do you work in infrastructure with contaminated soil, (ground)water, or dredging operations? As a DLP (Drainage, Safety, and Environment) professional, you must comply with the guidelines of CROW Publication 400 and possess knowledge of legislation, regulations, safety, and mitigation packages. Our one-day course will teach you everything you need to perform your role effectively. This course has been updated to reflect the latest changes in CROW Publication 400 (November 2023, 4th edition).

What will you learn during the DLP course?

The course consists of theory. You will gain basic knowledge about:

  • the ability to detect foreign materials that increase risks;
  • the rules regarding the restoration of soil layers and the prevention of mixing of soil layers;
  • the responsibilities of the parties involved (Client, Contractor);
  • the health risks when working in the soil;
  • how to act in case of emergencies;
  • preventing damage caused by excavation work (CROW publication 500);
  • which supervisors there are and what they enforce;
  • transport documents and stable surface (CROW publication 335).

Additionally:

  • Routes of exposure;
  • Occupational hygiene strategy;
  • Classification into safety classes and role of safety experts;
  • Access policy and air quality measurements;
  • Purpose of occupational hygiene zoning.

Before the course, you must study CROW Publication 400 (approximately 8 hours of self-study). You can order this from the CROW Knowledge Platform: Working in and with contaminated soil as of November 2023 and you must bring it with you on the course day.

What do you get afterwards?

As a student, you will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the exam (in accordance with the EN45013 CROW 400 guidelines). This certificate is valid for 5 years.
