Safe Lifting Marinas (in-company)

Safe Lifting Marinas (in-company)

To lift vessels safely and efficiently using a hoist, the Dutch Working Conditions Act (Arbowet) requires that the operator's knowledge and skills be recorded and maintained. This reduces the risk of serious accidents and damage. In this training, you will learn to lift vessels safely and responsibly using your hoist. The standards for hoisting equipment, such as lifting straps, chains, and wire ropes, are also covered. The mandatory inspection of hoisting equipment and hoisting tools is also discussed.

This training is offered exclusively on-site. We provide the trainer, course materials, and certificates. We use the specific equipment and work on-site (in-company training).

What will you learn during the training?

The course combines theory and practice. You will learn about:

  • hoisting ships
  • rejection standards for lifting straps, chains, steel cables
  • mandatory inspections of lifting installations and lifting equipment

What do you get afterwards?

At the end of the course, you'll take a theoretical and practical test. Upon successful completion of these tests, you'll receive the industry-recognized "Safe Lifting" certificate. This certificate is valid for three years. Afterward, you'll take refresher training every three years. You'll take an exam specific to the type of lifting equipment you'll be working with.
