ATEX Awareness

Working in an explosive atmosphere? For work involving an increased risk of explosion, the Dutch Working Conditions Act (Arbowet) recommends taking the ATEX Awareness or Basic course (according to IECEx05). The ATEX directive stipulates the requirements for safe working for all equipment and workplaces in explosive atmospheres. As an employer, you are obligated to instruct employees in this. During the e-learning course, you will learn to recognize explosive atmospheres, identify the risks, and identify the necessary control measures.

There are three variants:

  • ATEX Awareness
  • ATEX Basic (e-learning & exam)
  • ATEX Basic (exam)

  • What is an explosion?
  • guidelines and legislation
  • gas and dust properties
  • zones
  • protective measures
  • inflammation
  • safe working

What do you get afterwards?

At the end of the ATEX Awareness e-learning course, you will receive a certificate. At the end of the ATEX Basic course, there will be an exam. Upon successful completion of this exam, the participant will receive a diploma and pass. The diploma is valid for three years.
