TCVT Operator Large Foundation Machine W4-03

TCVT Operator Large Foundation Machine W4-03

This training is for operators who work with a machine (installation) that installs or removes foundation elements or soil load-bearing improvements (walls and/or barriers) through drilling, hammering, vibrating, digging, pulling, pressing, or any other means. They must comply with the statutory (TCVT) standard. This standard requires possession of a TCVT-registered Large Foundation Machines W4-03.

A large machine is defined as a machine/installation with a net weight of 30 tons or more, including equipment and foundation elements, a height of 10 meters or more, or one that incorporates a foundation element of 10 meters or more in length.

During the training, we work towards the theoretical and practical exams, in accordance with the final and test terms of this TCVT certification scheme. Depending on the participant's knowledge and experience, we offer a 10-, 15-, or 20-day training course. The final day (10th, 15th, or 20th day) consists of exams administered by an external examination agency.

10-day training course: Good reading skills required to prepare for home study. Good hand-eye coordination required for operating a system. A high level of knowledge of the content, including foundation worker experience and practical experience working under a foundation system.

15-day training: Standard reading skills for a self-study section. Familiarity with foundation work at a basic level.

20-day training: Relatively new to the industry. Some basic knowledge of the industry is required, but working with installations is new. A background in machine operation is required. The 20-day course includes time for reviewing course material and practical assignments.

What do you get afterwards?

We conclude the course with a theoretical and practical exam (conducted by an independent agency). If you successfully complete both exams, you will receive the TCVT certificate 'Operator Large Foundation Machines W4-03'. This registration (+ the XS-ID app) is issued by TCVT-RA. The cost of this registration, being €195 (excl. VAT), is paid by the participant in TCVT-RA. Neither SOMA Bedrijfsopleidingen nor the independent examination agency are involved in this in any way. The registration received is valid for 5 years. To renew this certificate/registration after 5 years, the holder must maintain demonstrable practical experience (digital registration) and participate in the mandatory recertification course: 1st training day in the first 3 years and 2nd training day in the last 2 years.
